Event planning is a sea of details … and without the right “flotation devices”

[extensive checklists, great partner vendors, focused planning meetings] you can easily drown.

Last Sunday and Monday, we spent time with our clients from The unSUMMIT [a unique, highly targeted conference for pharmacists and nurses who are implementing and promoting barcoding at the bedside]. We reviewed the agenda, outlined all of the food & beverage, toured the floor [to see traffic flow, sign placement, registration set up], spoke to the in-house AV rep, revised and finalized meeting space and met with the exhibit hall decorator.

With six weeks until the event kick-off, this “dress rehearsal” was beneficial for tying up some loose ends and feeling ready to rock.

We’ll be refining until the end, but this step in list checking went a long way to prepare for the onsite fun.
